About me

Hi, I'm
Daniel.

I'm a young person in Saigon trying to make sense of things — through writing, walking, and paying attention.

I grew up moving between cities, which gave me the habit of watching places carefully. Saigon is where I landed and decided to stay — not because it's easy (it's not), but because it's alive in a way that demands you keep up.

I started this blog because I was tired of keeping everything in my head. There's a kind of thinking that only happens when you write, and I'd been missing out on it for too long.

I write about whatever I'm genuinely thinking about — life in this city, lessons I'm still learning, things I notice on late walks, books that changed how I see something. No particular niche. Just honest writing.

I believe that most people have more to say than they think, and that the world is better when more people say it. This blog is my small contribution to that idea.

When I'm not writing here, I'm probably somewhere in the city looking for the best bowl of bún bò I haven't tried yet, or reading something that's either very old or very new.
